Global Caché’s products connect almost any electrical device to a WiFi and/or IP network so it can be controlled automated, and maintained by network-based software. The company offers other connectivity products and capabilities, including IR learning and the award-winning Control Tower IR database.

Available worldwide, the Zipato system is based primarily on Zipabox, a wireless home automation controller that includes Z-Wave and can be uniquely expanded to include most other technologies including ZigBee, KNX, NEST, SONOS, EnOcean, Somfy, as well as other protocols. Zipato focuses on ease of use and the system enables people to easily add devices to the network. It also features an online graphical tool called Rule Creator that allows users to create scenes and schedules for their network without requiring previous programming experience.

Zipato CEO Sebastian Popovic added, “Our vision from the beginning in 2010 has been to develop affordable and expandable cloud-based systems focused on security, energy efficiency, comfort, and health in the home. We have been successful in adding features and have expanded continually since out original launch. This alliance with Global Caché allows our customers to include infrared, contact closure, and RS232 devices to their Zipato environment easily and with very little cost. That’s the beauty of our open system platform and a win for our partners and customer base.”
