This year at CEDIA EXPO 2016, the Z-Wave Alliance will be offering free Z-Wave installation training courses for professional installers. Installers who participate in the Z-Wave training will earn CEDIA CEU credits.
The course, “Z-Wave Technical Training: What You Need to Know,” draws content from Z-Wave’s full online training courses with the added benefit of hands-on teaching and direct communication with certified Z-Wave installers and representatives. Each 90-minute session at CEDIA will provide installers with the best practices, tools, and protocols for Z-Wave installation.
The training program will cover the basic fundamentals, terms, and applications of Z-Wave technology. The first two sessions of the program promise to include how-to guides for working with network routers, adding nodes, and configuring Z-Wave’s mesh network. The later sessions will focus on Z-Wave troubleshooting and specific issues experienced by Z-Wave installers.
The Z-Wave Technical Training will take place from Wednesday 9/14 to Friday 9/16 at CEDIA EXPO 2016 in Dallas, TX. Entry to the training sessions require participants to register on the CEDIA training website.
